The Classic Fruit Machine Slots

True fruit machines are starting to be featured as online slots at casinos like Jackpotcity on the internet.

Fruit machines are commonly confused with regular slot machines, and while fruit machines are type of slot machine, it does not hold true that all slot machines are fruit machines. A game needs to have certain features including a nudge and a hold feature, a cash ladder and a bonus trail in order to be considered a fruit machine.
The nudge is generally a randomly triggered feature that gives players the option to ‘nudge’ a chosen reel around a number of times in order to create a winning combination.
The hold is also a randomly triggered feature. It is the opposite of the nudge feature. It gives players the option to hold one or more reels still on the next spin, increasing the chances of getting a higher winning combination.
The cash ladder is triggered as a result of certain symbols appearing on the reels. It is a line (or “ladder”) of fast moving lights with corresponding money values. The player has to hit a button to stop the light at just the right moment in order to get the high payout.
The bonus trail works in essentially the same way as the cash ladder, but with different rewards. Nudges or multipliers for the money they win in the next spin can be won with the bonus trail.
Fruit machines used to be something found in English pubs, rather than alongside the other slots at a casino, but with the introduction of online casinos fruit machines have taken their place alongside those games.
